We are seeking a UI Developer with knowledge of WordPress development responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress themes from designs provided by the UI/UX Team. This position requires a combination of programming skills (namely advanced HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript along with basic working knowledge of PHP) and responsive web development. The candidate should have a strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems. Experience with responsive and adaptive design is strongly preferred. Also, an understanding of the entire web development process, including design, development, and deployment is preferred.
Roles and Responsibilities
– Designing and implementing new features and functionality for Web Portals, Web Apps, Websites, WordPress-based Websites and other projects.
– Establishing and guiding the project architecture based on the design provided.
– Ensuring high performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the WordPress CMS.
– Knowledge of WooCommerce framework to be used with WordPress CMS.
– Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme using various plugins and coding knowledge.
– Keep yourself and your design team updated with the latest trends and techniques in your industry’s standards.
Skills and Qualifications
– Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, AngularJS.
– Experience building responsive user interfaces for websites, web portals and web applications.
– Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome Inspector, etc.
– Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers.
– Ability to convert comprehensive layout mock-ups and wireframes into working web pages.
